Gala Black Excellence Noire dans le cadre du Mois de l’Histoire des Noirs 2026
Dans le cadre du Gala du Mois de l’Histoire des Noirs 2026, qui célèbre l’Excellence noire sur la Rive-Sud de Montréal, SSBCA, ESEA, Mdj La Porte ouverte, Vision Interculture, MIRS sont fiers de lancer un appel à candidatures pour les prix Résilience, Impact et Prospect.
Ces prix visent à reconnaître et à honorer les individus et les organisations afrodescendantes qui, par leurs contributions exceptionnelles, incarnent la force, l’innovation et l’espoir au sein de nos communautés sur la Rive-Sud.
Prix Résilience
Ce prix reconnaît une personne ou une organisation ayant surmonté des défis significatifs tout en demeurant déterminée et engagée envers sa communauté. Leur parcours témoigne d’une capacité exceptionnelle à se relever face à l’adversité, tout en apportant un impact positif autour d’eux.
Prix Impact
Ce prix est décerné à une personne ou une organisation dont les actions ont eu un impact social, économique ou culturel remarquable dans la communauté sur la Rive-Sud. Leur travail a contribué à un changement mesurable et durable dans la vie des autres.
Prix Prospect
Ce prix s’adresse à une personne ou un jeune leader émergent qui, par son engagement, ses actions et son potentiel, incarne l’avenir prometteur de la communauté afrodescendante. Le ou la lauréat.e est un modèle inspirant qui, par son talent et son énergie, réalise ou est sur le point de réaliser des contributions significatives pour la société.
Critères de sélection :
Résilience : Capacité à surmonter les obstacles personnels ou professionnels.
Impact : Contributions notables ayant un effet direct et mesurable sur la communauté.
Prospect : Potentiel de croissance et de leadership pour le futur, particulièrement parmi la jeune génération.
Admissibilité :
Les candidatures sont ouvertes à toutes les personnes et organisations afrodescendantes résidant ou œuvrant sur la Rive-Sud de Montréal.
Les candidatures peuvent être soumises par des tiers ou directement par les personnes ou organisations intéressées.
Comment soumettre une candidature :
Pour soumettre une candidature, veuillez nous faire parvenir les informations suivantes avant le 15 décembre 2025 :
Nom et coordonnées du candidat/de l’organisation.
Description détaillée du parcours ou des réalisations.
Justification expliquant pourquoi cette personne/organisation mérite le prix.

Les lauréat.e.s seront annoncé.e.s et honoré.e.s lors du Gala du Mois de l’Histoire des Noirs, qui aura lieu le 7 février 2026. Ce sera une soirée inoubliable où nous célébrerons l’excellence, la diversité et les contributions exceptionnelles de la communauté noire sur la Rive-Sud.

Black Excellence Gala as part of Black History Month 2026
As part of the 2026 Black History Month Gala, which celebrates Black Excellence on Montreal’s South Shore, SSBCA, ESEA, and Mdj La Porte Ouverte, Vision Interculture, MIRS are proud to launch a call for nominations for the Resilience, Impact, and Prospect Awards.
These awards aim to recognize and honor Afro-descendant individuals and organizations who, through their exceptional contributions, embody strength, innovation, and hope within our communities on the South Shore.
Resilience Award
This award recognizes a person or organization that has overcome significant challenges while remaining committed to their community. Their journey reflects an extraordinary ability to bounce back from adversity while making a positive impact on those around them.
Impact Award
This award is given to a person or organization whose actions have had a remarkable social, economic, or cultural impact on the South Shore community. Their work has contributed to measurable and lasting change in the lives of others.
Prospect Award
This award is presented to an emerging young leader who, through their commitment, actions, and potential, embodies the promising future of the Afro-descendant community. The recipient is an inspiring role model whose talent and energy signal significant contributions to society.
Selection Criteria:

Resilience: Ability to overcome personal or professional obstacles.

Impact: Notable contributions with a direct and measurable effect on the community.

Prospect: Growth potential and leadership for the future, particularly among the younger generation.
Eligibility:
Nominations are open to all Afro-descendant individuals and organizations residing or working on Montreal’s South Shore.
Nominations can be submitted by third parties or directly by the individuals or organizations concerned.
How to Submit a Nomination:
To submit a nomination, please send the following information before December 15, 2025:
